Construction has begun on downtown Langford’s future tallest building.
Rising in the 2700-block of Claude Road near Goldstream Avenue, the 11-storey Danbrook One tower will deliver 90-units of rental apartments to the Westshore’s commercial core together with a single level of ground floor retail space.
Tenant move-ins are anticipated by early 2019.
Designed and developed by Langford-based DB Services, Danbrook One will stand several floors above downtown Langford’s current tallest building, the seven-storey Reflections mixed-use condominium residence with ground floor retail space (located at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Hoffman Avenue).
However, the title of the Westshore’s tallest building will remain with the 11-storey Finlayson Reach condominium residence in Bear Mountain’s central village. Although both Danbrook One and Finlayson Reach number 11-storeys, the latter tower’s design affords a taller structure.
In recent years Langford-based DB Services has designed and built several multi-unit rental buildings in Langford’s downtown core totalling over 100 homes. The company is currently overseeing the construction of over 200-units of rental apartments in downtown Langford that include the 60-unit
Railside House near D’Arcy’s Pub on Goldstream Avenue, the 63-unit
Peatt Commons, phase one, on Peatt Road at Hockley Avenue, and Danbrook One.
