I would argue this corner would be a great location for a not too high end hotel.
Near SOFA, Chinatown and Hudson so nearby amenities/demand drivers on main driver in an out of Victoria.
With new short term rental restrictions, a new hotel may make sense I would think but I do not know the economics of it all.
To my eye the latest version of this one doesn't look as if much has changed, other than some minor changes to the podium. I wasn't so warm on this project before for some reason, but I've changed my tune. I didn't appreciate it nearly enough for being an attractive alternative to the bland panel towers that I'm always griping about.
